### How do camels help us?

They can walk great distances in the desert places that humans
usually cannot.
They hold gallons upon gallons of water in their humps (they can
drink 36 gallons in 6 minutes)
and can actually sense bad water from good water, and won't
drink it if it is bad. (Good way to know if your water isn't
poisoned.)

### My betta lost a scale what do i do?

I would keep your aquarium very clean! If its under 5 Gallons I
would clean it everyday. If it is bigger then 5 gallons then I
would clean it twice a week to help prevent infection. You can also
add 1tsp of aquarium salt to 5 gallons of water to speed healing
and help ease the fish, also to prevent infection. I wouldn't worry
to much about your fish I would just make sure to keep the tank
clean and keep a good eye on your fish.

### How many gallons of water in a 480 sq Ft swimming pool?

We have no way of knowing that. It's really
going to depend on how deep the water is.
For example ...
-- If the water averages 6-ft deep, then there are 21,544
gallons of water in the pool.
-- If the water averages 1-inch deep, then there are 299.2
gallons of water in the pool.
-- If the 480-sq-ft pool is empty, then there are zero gallons
of water in it.
It might help you to know that it'll be roughly 300 gallons per
inch of depth,
and you take it from there.
Note: If the bottom is sloped, then that's a whole different
problem.

###### Asked in Math and Arithmetic, Units of Measure, Volume

### How many gallons are in 24 tons?

None. Gallons are a measure of volume (cubic, 3d unit) and tons
are a mass unit (weight, like pounds or ounces). Sorry but i can't
help you.
Volume (gallons) can be computed for a given weight of liquid,
but the volume varies with the density of the liquid. (Gasoline is
lighter than water... therefore, 1 pound of gasoline would be a
larger volume than 1 pound of water.) A US gallon of water weighs
about 8.35 pounds, and 24 tons equals 48,000 pounds (24 x 2000).
Therefore, 48,000 pounds of water would occupy 5748.5 gallons of
volume (48,000/8.35)

### How many gallons of water will it take to fill a 18 x52 swimming pool?

Zero gallons. No gallons can fit into a plane, no matter what
units you are using, since gallons are units of volume and must be
expressed in three dimensions.
Now, if you were to talk about a pool of 18' (that little '
denotes the measurement unit called _feet_ in standard English) by
52' by perhaps 10' deep, we'd have the ability to calculate an
answer. Help us to help you.

###### Asked in Math and Arithmetic

### Will you measure water in a bathtub by ml or l?

Personally neither as I would use gallons, but to help you think
about it:
If you had a bathtub which would be easier (and quicker) to
measure it if you used your choice to fill the bathtub with
water:
a teaspoon (used for taking medicine) which holds 5 ml; or
a jug which holds 1 l
[The answer is litres (l), not millilitres (ml).]

###### Asked in Waste and Recycling

### How can you save water during bath?

* Cut down your shower time by 2 - 3 minutes. This can save 5
gallons of water everyday. * Collect grey water from showers or
bath tub, and use it to flush the toilet or water the plants. These
tips can help you save gallons of fresh water every day. Check out
the link given below for more tips on how to save water at home and
work. Hope it helps!
