Would Tupac's poems be considered poetry?
Absolutely. That's a silly question. You're gonna feel stupid
for asking it, and you'll see why: The audience of a work of art it
not who decides whether or not it's art. It's the artist that
decides if they have made art. If a man writes something and calls
it a poem, then it's a poem. If a man paints a picture and calls it
a poem, then it's a poem. (To most people this would be known as
"visual poetry") If a person doesn't like a work of art, they might
say "that's not art", but they'd be dead wrong. Tupac's poems are
definitely poetry, regardless of whether or not some stuffy teacher
or parent doesn't like them. Now, don't you feel stupid?
