Yes if it had one, however it uses a pick up coil inside the distributer

After you open the hood, look straight down and it will be a stainless steel cylindrical wired sensor coming out of the exhaust manifold.

I have seen a faulty boost sensor keep the turbo from "kicking in" but it didn't stop the engine from starting.

crank or cam angle sensor faulty. faulty coils ....... could be heaps explain conditions???????
