In most ways, yes.
This would encourage many women to become leaders, expanding their world of possibilities; as such it would encourage national growth and a more educated female population.
(another answer)
It would depend very much on the particular female. To elect a woman just because she is a woman does not seem to be a good idea even if it did give a role model to girls. In fact, a poor female president might even do damage to the role of women in future American politics.
The US has never had a female President nor vice-president.
No one, we have never had a female president.
Yes.
There hasn't been a female president yet, because if you think about it our country would be worse off if we had a female president. If we had a female president she would have mood swings and probably end up screwing up small little things for us. We would probably be in more debt. And i honestly don't think anyone wants to have a woman in office as president. Think about everything that could happen if that happened and not just to this country.
The US President's wife (or in some cases daughter or other female relative who assumes political, social, and other roles that the wife of the President would undertake) is called The First Lady. She is the current US First Lady because she is the wife of President Barack Obama.
There haven't been any female US presidents.

The US has never elected a female president or even had a major party candidate who was female. Two women have run for vice-president but neither was elected.
