The metals in group 13 would be less reactive than the metals in group 1 because the metals in group 1 are closest to the left of the Periodic Table. And any thing to the left are more reactive.

Group 18, the noble gases, are the least reactive of any elements. Since their outermost orbitals are completely filled, they are chemically nonreactive, and they have a difficult time energetically sharing electrons to form covalent bonds or forming ions to make ionic bonds.

Group 1, the Alkali metals, are extremely reactive. They are stored under oil to stop them reacting with the oxygen in the air. Group 18, the Noble Gases, are very unreactive, because of their stable outer electron arrangement.

In contrast, a metal in column 13 would be more likely than one in column 1 to form a covalent bond.

Group 13 is the Boron group and includes boron, aluminum, gallium, indium, thallium and ununtrium. these elements have 3 valence electrons and are very reactive.
