It might be or not som babys got different heart beats, but you need to see the doctor Starting at week 5 the fetal heart will accelerate at a rate of 3.3 beats per day for the next month. The fetal heart begins to beat at approximately the same rate as the mothers, which is 80 to 85 bpm. Below illustrates the approximate fetal heart rate for weeks 5 to 9, assuming a starting rate of 80 Week 5 starts at 80 and ends at 103 bpm Week 6 starts at 103 and ends at 126 bpm Week 7 starts at 126 and ends at 149 bpm Week 8 starts at 149 and ends at 172 bpm At week 9 the fetal heartbeat tends to beat within a range of 155 to 195 bpm. The fetal heart rate will begin to decrease and generally will fall within the range of 120 to 160 bpm by week 12

I had a scan yesterday. Suppossed to be 7 wks pregnant as well, and the baby's hb was 80bpm. I don't want to scare you, but my doctor said that I would probably miscarry naturally or the baby just will not develop anymore. However your doctor should have discussed this with you, and it has been known for the hb to pick up and the baby be all okay. For me, I'm preparing for the end result.

Generally, fetal heart rates should be between approximately 110 and 160 beats per minute, although they can reach as high as 170 or 180 and as low as 100 and still be considered normal. The average will vary from baby to baby and will rise and fall throughout pregnancy. Having an unusually high or low heart rate can indicate fetal distress, even in early pregnancy. Please contact your doctor.

A fetal heart rate is much higher than an adult's heart rate. A neonate (newborn) and infant's heart rate is also much higher than an adult's heart rate. A low heart rate or a dropping heart rate is a significant finding in fetal health.

It's very important to ask your doctor or nurse any question about you or your baby's health. Message Boards are generally not answered by professionals in health care (doctors or nurses) and you could easily be given wrong information.

Here is one article about fetal heart rates:

the baby's heartbeat is too low, you should go to the doctor and have them check it. The normal heartbeat for a baby at 8 weeks is 90-110 beats per minute.

When pregnant can you feel the babys heartbeat in your stomach?

No, you would have to be a rare case of super-sensitive to be able to feel that. To date, I have never heard of a woman who can feel the baby's heartbeat. What you may be feeling is your own heartbeat as the blood flow to your uterus is increased. Or it may be just the baby kicking. Many babies also seem to get hiccups which can be a very regular beat, often at the same time each day.
