I no longer have the disease in my body. Do people ever recover from this disease. And if so how long does it takes. The steroids that are required for me to take has caused so many other health problems then the actual disease itself. when you have this disease does it get worse or better. I'm just wondering.

Can you recover after a cereabral vasucular attack?

This is now classified as CVI - Cerebral Vascular Incident, and yes, you can recover IF: 1. You received medical help in the first couple of hours after it happened. the longer the delay, the returns can be diminished. 2. How severe the damage was, and how much undamaged area remains next to the affected area. It is possible the undamaged area can grow connections into the affected area, and recover the memories or learning stored in the affected area. 3. How much time, and how hard you work, to recover, relearn or retrain the brain. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED, THIS MAKES THE PROCESS HARDER. You can't go back and change what happened, go from where you are. DETERMINATION IS REQUIRED, BUT IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT, IT CAN BE LEARNED

If by "possums disease" you mean Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis, the answer is a few horses will, but these were the minimally affected horses.
