You found out you were pregnant on sat went to the doc on monday and their test showed a very faint line and an ultrasound showed you are not pregnant could you still be?

Yes, scans can be wrong, and many women have unwillingly and unknowngly chosen to miscarry their babies due to incorrect scans. I would always wait a nother week at least before choosing a D&C, or more preferably, let nature take its course and miscarry the baby naturally. goodluck

this could be normal. it can take up to 6 or 8 weeks for a fetal heartbeat to show up with a vaginal ultrasound.

An ultrasound at 6 weeks should show a fetal heartbeat, if there was a fetal heartbeat you're not miscarrying.. It's probable you estimated your due date wrong.

Ultrasound predictions of how far along someone is get worse and worse the longer the person is pregnant. An ultrasound predicting 28 weeks pregnant could be 2 weeks off (either more or less); by the end of pregnancy, they can be as many as three weeks off. The best ultrasounds to get to predict due dates are those done in the first trimester (first three months). In this case, having an ultrasound predicting 28 weeks pregnant and a physician predicting 30 could be about the same thing. "Feeling" 30-32 weeks pregnant also isn't the best predictor either, as different physicians and nurses may estimate differently. Hope this helps! Dr. B.

yes you could that's what happened to me i was having symptoms and took at blood test and pregnancy test and it all showed up negative but i just knew i was pregnant i mean lets face it you can tell by the belly if you are and a few months later my tummy got big and i went to the doctor and he did a test and it still said negative but the ultrasound showed different

Ultrasound gives an estimate of the age of the foetus. At this stage of the pregnancy, it's quite accurate, but it's still only an estimate, and the date of conception could be a few days, even a week, away from the date 19 weeks and 2 days ago.

It could mean that, yes but also I bled heavily at around 10 weeks and I had myself prepared for the worst but on an ultrasound scan it showed baby and heartbeat, Im now 37 weeks pregnant and about to pop so all is well!! You could have tested too early to get a positive result or you could be pregnant and it not be showing up. I was 6 weeks pregnant with my son and urine test showed negative up until this time. I went in the following day after receiving a faint positive line on a test, for ultrasound, and he already had a heartbeat. Yet with my 2 girls, the test showed up so early, they couldn't find them a week later on ultrasound. Took 3 ultrasounds for my last little girl to show up!
