Because you missed 4 pills you are not protected against pregnancy. You must use a back up method of protection - a condom for the next 2 weeks to prevent pregnancy. You must also continue to take Birth Control as normal.

The spotting was break through bleeding because you missed the pill for 4 days. Because you missed the pill you did put yourself at risk of pregnancy so yes you could be pregnant.

If you missed the pill and got your period, continue taking the pill as scheduled. Consider using the morning after pill if you had sex in the last five days. Use a backup method until you've taken seven pills correctly.

It depends on when you ovulate. Your body might not have ovulated yet but there is still a chance you could be pregnant. It takes seven days of regular pill taking after your period to make it affective. I am in the same boat I missed my seventh pill and I am losing my mind. Most women do not ovulate until eight days after their period so hopefully you and I are safe :)

If you're just starting the pill, it's best to take the pill on the first day of your period. My GYN told me that you can also start the pill the Sunday following the start of your period... That way, it's easier to keep track of whether or not you took/missed your pill that day.

Usually their are tests to take 5 days before missed period First Response is a good test to take I'd you've misses your period but everyone has their preference

Now that I am not limited to 150 characters or so... I missed my pill for two days and took both of them at the same time the morning of the third day after I missed the first pill. I have had light bleeding for about five days now. My question is this: I know that if you miss three days you are supposed to just start a new pack. But if I do this will I get my period? I'd rather deal with the light bleeding than get my period, my boyfriend is coming home this weekend and I don't want things to get ruined.

If you missed seven days of your pill, and you had some bleeding, your next period may not be a normal period. It may not come at the regular time, and it might not be normal amount of bleeding.

Hi there. A missed BC pill can cause you to be more at risk of pregnancy and it can make your period a day late. It is perfectly fine to miss one pill if you take the next one on time!

This has happened to me, im on the pill and thought i'd missed a period cause i was on my 4th sugar pill on my pill free week, but i then came on on my 5th sugar pill. The contraceptive pill can mess with your period massively.Im currently waiting for my period and im on my 3rd sugar pill so dont worry yet!Are you getting period pains at all? cause i do and it lets me know im going to be on late.xXx

you probably missed a couple, go back and check your pill pack.

The period is either late like it can be naturally or, if you had sex without any other protection, you are pregnant. Being off the pill for a month means you are completely unprotected. Missing one pill is enough.

dont be alarmed nothin will happen you are ok just remember u will get a period right after ur next one because u missed ur pill :( goodluck :)

Yes. You should continue taking your pill as scheduled, and take a pregnancy test if you missed any pills in the previous cycle.

it all depends. when i missed the pill for even 2 days i bleed. but some people can miss the pill for up to 10 days without bleeding

this is bad, you should definitely ask your local pharmacist or family doctor. you are supposed to get your period when you stop taking the pills for 7 days or take your sugar pills.

While the birth control pill tends to make your period more regular, it can also cause a missed or late period. If you haven't missed any pills, there's no special need to worry about pregnancy. If you've missed pills, or if it's your second missed period in a row, take a pregnancy test and contact your health care provider.

It depends on the type of pill you are taking, mine says you can take it up to 5 days after the firsdt day of your period; however if you have a short cycle of 23 days you can wait up to three days. :)

I am proof of this. I accidentally missed two dose of BCP (doubled up when I remembered) and wound up pregnant. It was a low dose pill probably why.

Starting the pill before your period may delay your period, but you may also have breakthrough bleeding during the first three cycles. If starting the pill before your period, use a back up birth control method for the first seven days.

Perform a pregnancy test. If its negative the missed period may be a "one off" but if it happens again next month see your Doctor.

My doctor said that it can stop your period. This pill is to lighten and shorten the length of your period. This pill has more days in which you actually take the bc pill. Other bc pills have like 4 fewer days then you take the sugar pills. If you want to have your period while taking this pill just disregard the last real pill. It should make your start your period. If not skip the last 2. I would talk to your doctor first.

I am assuming you are talking about birth control right? I use Ortho Tri-Cyclen (28 day) and I usually start my period 2 days after finishing the normal pills. So if you start the 'sugar' pill on Sunday, you should your period about Monday or Tuesday. Once I missed two pills in a row and I started my period on the 3rd day.
