You have 1996 dodge dakoda you have replaced the fuel pump but it seem to have an electrical problem Help?

cant be serten but if u tryed to test the fuel pump before complet install with out disconecting the ecu its likely the ecu is dead

Ok you have a problen that is pretty serious. It is a very good chance that the Throttle Body needs to be replaced ..many dodge dealers are aware of this problem and as long as they have the part it can be replaced in a flash. you can do this yourself its pretty easy. I had the same problem with my 2003 There is a service bulletin out on this

Doesn't have one. Mine was behind the glove box. Replaced it no problem.

cars will have them they all do if you cant find out the problem yourself then try and go get a checkup and see if they can figure out what is wrong with it

the seal on the valve cover needs to be replaced. my 2000 neon had the same problem. I replaced the seals in the valve cover and it fixed the problem. The kit came with the seals for the spark plugs.

Had the same problem on my '00 4.7 liter. Turns out it was the throttle position sensor. Sensor was replaced at dealer problem disappeared.

The answer is simple - You can't fix it! I had the very same problem in the very same vehicle. I also had a Dodge Intrepid with the same exact problem. The evaporator has to be replaced. I dodge dealer will chare you about $850.00 The dash has to be completely removed. This problem seems to be too common with Dodge vehicles. I bought my last Dodge product in 2001 (Grand Carrivan) I will no longer by any Dodge vehicles. Good Luck!

Dodge was able to meet the emission requirements with out an EGR valve. Nothing replaced it.

It was replaced by the brand new Dodge Dart.

The front seal of the tranny needs replaced, the tranny will have to come out to replace it.

I just replaced the belt on my 06 and I had to take the tenisoner off to get the belt behind it, once I did that it was no problem.

The fuel pump has an internal regulator that controls fuel pressure. The PCM controls the amount of fuel injected in the engine.

No. The Caliber was stopped in 2012 and replaced by the Dodge Dart.

are u sure the original problem was the battery and do you have the cables hooked up correctly.

Dodges are good for blowing fuses. If that is not it, the fan switch might need replaced.

its you MAP Sensor I had The same problem and i replaced the map censor and it runs fine now. it only cost me $58.00

Possibly, but why would you want to. The 2.5L was way underpowered on even the base Dakotas. You will get better gas mileage with the 3.9L.
