Possible blown head gasket or cracked head. Have this looked at by a professional ASAP, and do not drive this car until you get it fixed. Serious engine damage will occur.

The 2003 Impala uses between 4.5 and 4.75 quarts of oil during an oil change. Use the dipstick after getting the oil level close to add more as needed to fill.

The oil pump is inside the engine under the oil pan.

Any engine that the 03 Impala came with takes 4.5 qts.

The knock sensor on a 2003 Impala v6 3.4l engine is on the side of the block. The sensor is mounted just above the oil filter.

It is either time for a oil and filter change or the engine is low on oil.

you might need to check the water in the batter, engine coolant, radiator, oil.

where is the location of oil filter on 2007 impala ss?

Your radiator is probably leaking transmission fluid into your coolant. Trans cooler is built into the radiator. Replace the radiator.

put in 5 qts. with a new filter and you should be fine.

The oil pump is the the sump.

It depends on the temperature. You could use either 5w 20 or 5w 30.

Listed in detail in your owner's manual. Don't have one then you need to get one.

10W30 unless it gets cold where you live, then change to 5W30 for the colder seasons.

look in your owners manual but I believe it's 5w-30 year round.

The 2007 Chevy impala takes up 5 quarts of oil.

A bad rear seal or the oil pan bolts need tightened down a little.

things to check for is thermostat, check water circulation in radiator (possible bad water pump), radiator could be blocked, and most of all make sure all fluids are up to spec. (oil and antifreeze)

There are two oil sensors on a 2006 Chevrolet Impala. One is to monitor oil pressure and the other is to let you know if the oil level is low.

The first step is to find out how it is getting in there. Normal cause is a failed transmission cooler. That may be part of the radiator itself. After the cause is repaired, you will have to flush the cooling system until there is no more oil in it.

There is an access door at the front bottom of the engine just below and aft of the radiator.
