No, I don't even know what lexapro is
I have taken them together and survived. 20 mg Lexapro with 5 mg Vicodin and 3 pints of beer. My doctor said the Lexapro and Vicodin are ok together as long as it is supervised and within the recommended dosage. The beer, probably not ok.
If you do not currently take Lexapro and you are pregnant, do not start without talking to a doctor as it may cause serious or life-threatening lung problems in newborn babies whose mothers take the medication during pregnancy. However, if you become pregnant while you are already taking Lexapro, do not stop taking the medication without first talking to your doctor.
Pristiq, which contains desvenlafaxine, is an antidepressant that affects the serotonin levels in the brain. Lexapro, being an SSRI, also affects your serotonin levels. You should consult with a medical professional before you attempt to take these drugs at the same time.
Wellbutrin and Lexapro work on different brain chemistries. Wellbutrin works on the dopamine while Lexapro works on Seratonin. Ten mg of Lexapro is a small dose. Wellbutrin can be taken twice a day to prolong its efficacy in conjunction with the Lexapro taken once. This is a standad therapy.
I have been on Lexapro for about a month now. My weight is ballooning. I want to come off of it before the withdrawal get to bad. Does the time you are on lexapro coincide with the amount of withdrawl problems? The problem is, I feel great taking the lexapro, but, can't handle the side effect
i would not advise taking any concerta while taking lexapro. I am currently taking lexapro and have taken concerta about 7 times. Each time i took concerta i would hear many scary voices in my head. i looked up the psycotic effects of concerta and they said that a side effect of concerta is hearing voices if you are on an antidepressant
Lexapro and Buspar are medications used to treat depression and anxiety. They should never be taken together, since they can flood the brain with serotonin, which can cause seizures and heart problems.
First, you can't just stop taking Zoloft--if you've taken it for more than a month or so, you'll have to slowly decrease your dose until it is 10mg or so and then stop (this should take several weeks.) Then you're ready to start Lexapro (no cool off period in between is necessary.) Note: I am not a physician but I know that if your doctor recommended changing from Zoloft to Lexapro s/he would have already gone over this--be careful--Zoloft has a profound effect on your brain chemistry, make sure your doctor is in agreement on this. Note: I've taken Zoloft (Sertraline) and Wellbutrin in different strengths for over 6 years, these are serious drugs.
yes, just avoid taking any medication with more extreme acidic foods or beverages such as grapefruit juice
Yes, medically they are safe to be taken together. Obviously, you should never take a prescription other than your own as there are many risks with any medication and you should discuss them with your doctor or another healthcare professional before taking medications.
Right now I am on Lexapro and I've only taken Tylenol for my headaches. I havent had any harmful effects from it so far. I actually am getting ready to go to my doctor today and this is one of the questions I have planned to ask her so when I get her answer I will edit this and let you know. I am also on Lexapro and would like to add that I take migraine medicaiton (almotriptan) and at different times for stress headache I take "syndol" and don't have any problems with those.
Nope ... not without your doctor's approval. Most medications can only do what they are supposed to do when taken as prescribed by a licensed medical professional. To do otherwise totally defeats the purpose of taking the medication in the first place. You may be feeling better about yourself, but you certainly do not want to slip backwards into a depression mode, so, do as your doctor orders.
