The idea of fighting is real in promotions such as WWE/TNA etc. Otherwise the wrestlers would not know what to pull of and when. PWI [Pro Wrestling Illustrated] breaks down voting into these catogries: PWI's family of magazines has given out annual awards since 1972. A ballot is printed in the special year-end issue, and the fans ostensibly vote for the winners. However, this has been disputed by wrestling news websites, which have claimed that winners are in fact selected by the magazine's editors. A special PWI Awards magazine is put out annually, which shows not only the winners, but the first three runners-up with the number of votes. The wrestlers receive plaques for each PWI Award that they win. The awards that PWI has given out are as follows: * Wrestler of the Year (since 1972) * Tag Team of the Year (since 1972) * Match of the Year (since 1972) * Feud of the Year (since 1986) * Most Popular Wrestler of the Year (since 1972) * Most Hated Wrestler of the Year (since 1972) * Most Improved Wrestler of the Year (since 1978) * Most Inspirational Wrestler of the Year (since 1972) * Rookie of the Year (since 1972) * Stanley Weston Award (since 1981) * Comeback of the Year (since 1992) * Woman of the Year (since 1999) Discontinued awards are as follows: * Manager of the Year (1972 to 1999) * PWI Girl Wrestler of the Year (1972 to 1976) * Midget Wrestler of the Year (1972 to 1976) * PWI Announcer of the Year (1977) ''Courtesy of Wikipedia'' Although these are judges by fans, the fans may be swayed to vote by ability, on and off screen personality and comitment to the business.

No. Sumo wrestling and other wrestling have nearly nothing in common-most wrestling involves fighting on the mat-if you touch the floor in sumo you lose..

well i saw a wrestling card at Walgreen's or wal-mart that had all the wrestlers on the inside saying im fighting for your heart.

A personification that has to do with wrestling would be the personification of the wrestling mat. It could be said to feel the bodies of the wrestlers fighting on it and feel excitement during the fight and loneliness when the fights are over and everyone leaves.

Wrestling is not faked, but not real. It's real but pre-determined. It's hard to tell when it's staged and when it's not. However, high school wrestling and cage fighting is totally real. The storylines are scripted, the wrestling moves are real and painful anyone saying the wrestling moves do not hurt or they are not actually hitting each other has never been in the ring.

Wrestlers are fighting actors, they do not know everything, they only pretend to know.

The storylines and rivalrys are not 'true' or real. Some of the fighting is though

it fighting and all that

The fighting that is shown in the WWE is a choreographed by the professional wrestlers.

Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), just like all professional wrestling companies, is staged.CZW is known for their ultraviolence (matches with heavy emphasis on violence and weapons). The blood and weapons are real. The movie "The Wrestler" has a scene where Mickey Rourke is fighting with CZW wrestlers.

Barely real : it's almost all scripted. Sometimes an accident happens, but its not real fighting. The action is real, and learning all those moves is important because a wrestler can still get REALLY hurt even when no one is trying to do that.Another Answer:WWE is considered sports "entertainment" or professional wrestling. The company includes scripted storylines, segments and pre-determined matches. The wrestling is for the most part fake, but they make it look real as much as possible. However that doesn't mean the wrestlers don't get hurt, injured or bloodied by mistake.

User Avatar

No. WWE Wrestling is not real fighting. So, they typically fight with one another in a way that neither fighter is really or seriously injured in real life. They are trained to beat up one another in a way that looks real but the amount of damage they inflict on one another is only a fraction of what would happen if they fought one another for real. Though some wrestlers get injured due to accidents, the wwe wrestlers do not try to intentionally hurt one another.

User Avatar

yes it is real. Real fighting and wreslting.

fighting until you pin the person to a 3 count.

its mostly staged unless they start bleeding.

you really wrestle them (not fake) and yes First I would like to assure that pro wrestling isn't fake by the way it sounds from many moaners. Basically sports entertainment era was produced upon the excitement of wrestling, with that started gimmicks and storylines weekly being watched on each episode. These storylines are offcourse fake and are not from real life, but was then extended by people on that it is totally fake. I spent upon two years in NWA Florida after 6 months period in Ohio Valley Wrestling, and the real point is that nearly 27% of the matches are pre-determined but on most top card matches the match is open. Alot would disagree but if you had a title match or a top card match the winner is not pre-determined. But whether determined or not, the fighting we wrestlers have inside the ring is totally real. When ur match is pre-determined who is going to be the winner, each wrestler applies his own way on using which move but at end u have to loose if you are told to loose. In the Ohio Valley we get paid per match and a range is placed in the contract that you would sign.

Wrestling, as you would see in the olympics, etc, is a part of UFC fighting, but UFC fighting also contains other elements of fighting, including kickboxing and various styles of groundfighting. If you are asking if the UFC is the same as WWE, no, it is not scripted in any way.
