You shouldn't wear heels, they are hard to dance in. If you want to look nice, wear flats-you can still dance in those.
Or you could find a taller date.

Absolutely not. 8th grade is a year full of stereotypes and pre-teen drama; which is usually why kids feel nervous about getting a so called date for the 8th grade dance. For my dance, it was mostly about having fun with your friends and celebrating the end of the year together. Just dont worry about crap like that and have fun. You'll most likely remember the memories you have with your friends then being pestered by your "date."
Advice for asking a boy to dance with you at the last 8th grade dance?
ask him what he thinks of the dance(a lot of boys dislike middle school dances) if he seems open ask if he's going or if he has a date to go, if he doesn't ask if he'd like to be your date for the dance.

No, because naturally there are no relationships that last in Grade school and since there are few to no relationships to being with then how could you ask just one person. Kids are to young to understand relationships even in Grade 8. so the answer would be no on the account of most kids not understanding what makes a true relationship last. Also if you dont have a date then it doesnt matter because it doesnt mean the your going to become in a serious relationship its just a dance.
