Can you still get your green card if your citizenship was denied?

Basic criteria to apply for US citizenship is to be a green card holder in US. Only if you already have a green card for a minimum period of 5 years and above age of 18 years and have stayed in US continuously during that period you are eligible to apply for US citizenship. If citizenship is denied you still can continue to stay in US as a green card holder. In case you are not happy with decision after applying for US citizenship using Form N-336 you get another chance of applying for US citizenship. Once you correct the mistake because of which citizenship was denied in the first place the second time you apply you can be sure to get citizenship. Elaborate and careful preparation of the Form N-400 is very important.

The kid is an American,EH!Child born to Canadian mother and American father is a North American. Being born in the USA means child is a citizen of the USA. Birth certificate,if filed, will state personal identification information. Birth registration should state time and place of birth. lets clarify this one.. If the child is born in the US to a Canadian mother and American Father, then the baby is initially American, seeing as it's born in the US. However, Canadian citizenship CAN be obtained seeing as the mother is American. Visit Immigration Canada's website or call your closest consular office for more information on the process.

Can marrying a U.S. citizen with prior convictions make you non-eligible for U.S. citizenship?

It depends on a lot of things. If the US citizen has past convictions, that doesn't matter. If the alien has past convictions, that can make a big difference, however. Nobody becomes eligible for citizenship by getting married. They do become eligible for a greencard. That does not mean that they'll actually get the greencard, though. The citizen spouse has to sponsor the alien. The process is long and costly. Once the alien gets the greencard, s/he can apply for citizenship after three years, but it is not a guarantee that s/he will get it. no it cant.you are your own person his conviction are not about you good luck Ih the petitioner with the convictions has served his time and has been cleared from all his dues, then he is still eligible for petitioning somebody. But there is a big chance that the immigration officer will ask a lot of questions and will be most likely put on Admisnitrative Review. If the petitioner has minor convictions, the chances of petitioning somebody is higher but if the petitioner had major convictions like spousal abuse, murder, etc, it would be a really really hard rocess. He will definitely need a lawyer.
