My suggestion would be to disconnect the battery, pull the entire steering column and replace it with a used one. Your trany can be shifted manually by crawling under the car and moving the shift lever by hand for now. It probably won't start because the shifter is in gear so moving it to the neutural position will probably get it to start. Try stuffing a screwdriver into the lock cylinder and see if you can turn it till you get a column.
"mamule" steering..?
Yes
yes
You can convert manual to power steering on a 1969 Camaro. the steering box will need to be changed, and a pump and brackets as well as fluid lines will need to be added.
yes they are of the same generation of camaro so it should be interchangeable
should be the same thing.
It probably will as they probably used the same steering column. Most 4th generation F platforms (93-2002 Camaro/Firebird) have interchangeable parts. So, yes you can replace the steering column for a 1999 Camaro with a earlier 4th gen F body.
They were the exact same wheel, so yes
There were no IROC Camaros in 1991
Any column from a 1993-2002 Camaro/Firebird should work
Any column from a 1982-92 Camaro/Firebird should work
You have to pull the steering wheel off to get to the screws that hold the cover on.
