Maybe your starter.
With your limited info there could be many reasons but first have you tested the cold cranking amps on the battery? The charging system may be fine but if the battery is going it could cause the problem your describing.
The starter could be bad. Or the battery. The starter could be bad. Or the battery.
starter, solonoid, ignition, battery. if it clicks when you turn the key then the battery is really dead or its the starter the battery could still be jumped if its the battery.
Battery could possibly be burnt out.
could be a short or a parasitic drain in the electrical system... to little info to tell what it is. could be bad earth from battery
If nothing works, turns on, your battery is dead.
bad ignition switch, bad battery, bad alternator/regulator,
Sounds like it could be an ignition switch or a starter. Try cleaning your battery terminals first
Your timing could be off, Your starter could be going bad, or you could have a low battery. The battery is the simplest to start with. You could go to Auto Zone and they will check your battery for you. Also talk to them about your starter and your timing. Low battery, faulty alternator, worn stater, corroded connection
Viscuous coupling in the transfer case could be going bad.
A clicking sound when you turn the key could mean your battery is dead. It could also indicate the starter is going out.
If the engine will not turn over, that is, sound like it is turning, then the trouble is a dead battery or really bad battery clamps. If the engine will not 'catch' and start running, then there are a number of causes, one of which is having no fuel.
neutral lock out switch It really could be several things. It could be spark plugs it could be no gas it could be no oil, and more. it could be your battery, starter, coil.etc
Check the oil level in the rear differential, drive shafts could also be bad.
Check battery if low could trigger alarm.
Can be a dead battery, defective starter, loose or corroded battery connection, or blown main fuse. If nothing comes on when you turn on the ignition switch and your interior lights are not working it is not the starter.
It could be the alternator.
Two things come to mind: 1 - your new battery could be bad; 2 - you have a wiring problem. You may have a short somewhere that is pulling down the battery. Also, check the battery post connectors where they are fitted onto the wire. Something loose there can cause you grief, too.
Bad starter, or dead battery. :) Or you could have a bad wiring connection. Oh yes, and your starter switch (where you put your key) could be going bad.
Bad/shorted battery? (doesn't not hold a charge)
If the battery is worn out it may not hold a charge for 8 hours. There could also be a short somewhere causing the battery to drain down.
They could be.They could be.
take the number off the old one if you still have it , any automotive store could tell you which one goes in it
It means it's not turning over due to lack of power to the engine so you might have a dead battery Try and jump it.. if that doesn't work then try and replace the battery and/or take it in and get a diagnostics done to see what other reasons their could be for it not turning over.
