its such a cheap part I would just replace it... Check the temperature of the upper radiator hose. If it isn't hot, the thermostat is probably stuck shut.
If you replaced the head gaskets, thermostat, and the water pump and it is still overheating then I would ask about the fan. If it is not the fan, then I would say that you have at least one bad head, if not two. But that is just a guess. A mechanic will pressure test the system and will be able to tell you more. Is the radiator restricted?
Take your thermostat out and put everything back together, run your car without a thermostat... If your car no longer overheats, replace your thermostat.
If it is overheating or taking a long time to reach full operating temperature then it may need a new thermostat. If you even suspect it is not functioning properly just replace it.

Removing the thermostat can actually make an overheating problem worse. I would check the radiator fan.
Mine used to used up at idle. I changed the coolant but it kept doing it. I am pretty sure it was the thermostat. The best internet advice is that it is probably your thermostat. You can roll the dice and change it out youself or go to a good mechanic and he'll tell you for sure what is wrong.
You can tell your Xbox 360 is overheating when the fan stays on and sometimes when there is a red ring glowing on the console.
There are many sensors on the vehicle. Which ones are you looking for?
one of the things that could be casing your ovreheating problem is a stuck thermostat. The thermostat stays closed until the engine gets to a certaqin temperature and then opens up to cool the engine. if the thermostat fails to open no coolent gets to the engine therfore causing the engine to overheat. one way to tell if your thermostat is going out is your upper radiator hose where the themostat housing is will be stretched and feel kinda rubbery. hope this helps could also be that your water pump is going and or a broken water pump belt...but id go with the thermostat first.then take it from there.
Tell me where the thermostat on the 1995 Toyota Camry is located?
If there is no temperature gauge on a motorcycle, the way to tell if the motorcycle is overheating is by smell or feel. If the bike smells like radiator hot water, it might be overheating. If the legs of the operator start to become so warm that it is uncomfortable to ride, it might be overheating.
Most waterpumps have a weep hole on the housing that will start to seep coolant when the bearing/seal are starting to go bad. That is the time to replace the waterpump. If you are having trouble with overheating change the thermostat with a factory set (temperature) rating. good luck
