the valves may be to tight soo lossen them up then adjust them later
Could be--valve not closing completely
If it was rebuilt wrong, Yes
If the motor is rebuilt I think that maybe a sensor wasnt connected
Every minute you drive a vehicle with a blown head gasket there is just that more severe internal engine damage. Drive it long enough and you will be buying a new engine or at the very least having this one completely rebuilt.
yes, if the timing belt breaks the pistons can hit the valves causeing the valves to bend, or causeing a hole in the piston(s) eather way the engine would need to be completely rebuilt. the same damage could be caused by trying to start the engine without the timing belt intact,
Replace the engine or have it rebuilt. Once an engine is worn to the point that it has excessive blow by, those are the only real solutions. You could try using a heavier engine oil, but the effect that will have is negligible.
Condition and originality are key. No way we could give you a fair evaluation here.
probably the jetting, but it could be many other things.
The transfer case....or '4 wheel drive'(front wheels)....is a completely different beast. The transfer case can be rebuilt for about $1000. Just had my transfer case rebuilt for just under $1k.
I'm really sorry to be the one to tell you this, but the blue smoke is from the engine burning oil. This almost certainly is from bad piston rings. The engine needs to be replaced or rebuilt, because this problem will get steadily worse until the engine dies completely. You should have had the engine checked over before you got it.
Not really. You could start over and redesign an engine to be able to run on diesel but it would be completely different from the original.
The transmission could have been rebuilt improperly, or the linkage could have been reinstalled incorrectly.
