if it's a female cat , she may be getting heat that's why she is always cleaning her bottom. My guess as to why your cat is always cleaning its bottom, is that it may have worms. If it is outside at all and eats birds or other catches then it probably has worms. You can tell by observing its rectum from time to time and seeing tiny white pieces of the worm. It will appear as if it is a grain of rice, and very small. If you grab one of the pieces and squeeze it between your nails you will see it is alive and mushy. This will cause the cat to itch and thus lick more than usual. There are over the counter remedies for this problem that work quite well, but keeping the cat indoors is best, if possible. Helen
