If it didn't get wet for very long just simply dry it with an everyday sort of thing (cloth, tea towel etc.) and it should be OK if you leave it for a bit. If you find something does go wrong and the contents of it are important, you can simply remove the cover, no screwdrivers needed but in an ordinary way, take the memory card out and insert it into a new camera.

This info is for a camcorder that WAS NOT ON. If it was on, it has no suggestion of being saved and it would be too dangerous to take the memory card out so you shall have to accept it has gone.

You should wait until it dries, instead of turning it on as soon as you get it.

Don't turn it on.

Remove the batteries, and place the camera some place where it can dry out. On top a computer where the fan from the air gently blows nearby would be a fairly good place.

Leave it there for a week. I have done this with iPods run through a washer with good success. Cameras, however, are much more complex. You may just be out of luck.

How far should you be when putting francium in water?

If you don't already know the answer to this question, you should not put Francium in water!!!! Francium is highly reactive in water, so much so that a small vile of it dropped in water will make a bathtub explode. If you would like to see the experiment, you can find it on youtube, but you should not perform it on your own. To answer your question, depending on how much Francium you are using, the answer will be different, but to be safe, you should be several hundred feet away.
