Your starter relay just clicks when you try to start your 82 Magna what could be the problem?
You should check the battery if it is good. Try checking to see if the power is getting to the starter when you push the button if not it might be a falty relay .If power is getting to the starter (12 volt . If less check power going into your relay ) starter may need to be replaced or repared.
If a 1993 Kawasaki 650 only clicks where the starter solenoid is is that your problem or is it something else?

Why would a Integra LS 1989 that usually runs fine suddenly not start no engine noise only clicking could this be the timing or starter motor?
I have had the same problem with my teg. my mate has had the same problem with his prelude. I think it may be computer related. I have found that by turning the key very slowly just before it clicks seems to solve it. I don't undeestand why, but this works for me. This first started happening at about 240000kms Your problem is the solenoid in the starter motor. I had the same problem and…
1988 legend L wont start no sounds except relay clicks once under passanger side dash fuel pump does not whirl ECU displays no codes?
If the starter is "clicking" then check the battery to make sure that is has enough juice to turn the starter. If the battery is good. It could be your starter solenoid is bad. Most of these are built into the starter nowadays. You will have to have the starter changed. I am betting on the battery especially if it is older. Another culprit could be your alternator failing to charge your battery.
you need a new battery. if battery has been replaced and this still does not solve the problem, you must have had the bad battery for too long and it ruined the If the new battery doesn't solve the problem you can have check the battery cables, make sure they have a clean tight connection. Also the problem could be with your starter also.
If the starter clicks, but doesn't start the car, that indicates that the starter solenoid is working, but the commutator that actually spins the engine is not. Take the starter back and have it tested. The battery could also be at fault. If the battery doesn't supply enough power you'll get the same result. check the battery voltage first should be 12.6 volts if not jump the battery see if it starts.if it does bad…
When i try to start my 91 corolla it just clicks i replaced the starter yesterday and it still just clicks yesterday i jumped it and it started right up today i tried to jump it and it still clicks?
1999 Dodge Neon and it won't start just clicks when you turn the key already replaced the starter what do you think could be the problem?
If you have already replaced the battery, then you have a few other things to look at. It could be the starter itself it could be the starter solenoid which might be integrated with the starter or mounted somewhere in the engine compartment. You can find it by tracing the thick positive wire (red - about the size of a finger) to where it goes. If it goes directly to the starter then the solenoid…
One of a few things depending on the click. If it makes consecutive clicks when you turn the key (click, click, click, click) then the odds are the battery is dead or in need of charging and there just isn't enough charge to fully engage the starter and turn over the engine. If it clicks just once, the selenoid is usually bad, or the starter is "locked" and will need to be replaced.
94 Chevy s 10 pick up with a 22 size motor you went to start it one day and all you heard was a click so you put a starter in it and it still just clicks?
if you have a moveable pole starter the solenoid is not attached to it therefore the problem could be a shorted starter solenoid.it could also be a bad ground to the solenoid.if you remove the starter again bench tested first to make sure it works.(it will save you time) just connect a battery to it.(make sure that + and - are in the right place .)also check your battery connections
When you push start button all you get is a click you tried replacing the battery but it still clicks only?
What would cause a car to whine and crank when trying to start it after 8 or so idle hours you have replaced the starter it is a Chevy s10 2001?
Did you follow the starter alignment instructions when you replaced the starter? Are you getting oil on the Bendix? That could cause the starter gear to engage slowly. It is possible that the replacment starter has a problem. Also, if the previous starter had the same problem it could have damaged the gear on the flex plate.
My 1996 Ford Ranger only clicks when the key is turned could it be the starter and where is it found?
It can be a dead battery, or a bad starter, the click sound you hear is from the starter relay mounted on the inner fender near the battery, use a test lite and make sure power is coming out of the relay and going to the starter, always replace both the starter and relay if either is found to be bad
I was researching this problem. After replacing the starter and solenoid, I still had the same problem. Someone suggeste the switch could be sticking. I sprayed liquid wrench into swith on column and problem is solved. Thanks to whomever makd that suggestion. I am passing this along, cause it could happen to you.

Why would my 1991 GMC suburban starter just click once and not crank the engine i instaled a new battery and a new starter new cables and inspected all the fusebable links what could be wrong?
the engine might be siezed, put a big wrench on the crankshaft pulley and see if you can turn it starter could be bad (has a dead spot), to check have someone turn the key to start the engine while you tap continuously on the starter with a good size socket wrench, if it turns over by doing this, your starter is going bad and needs to be replaced. If it "clicks" or "clanks" it…
