check the fins on the radiator if they are loose you need to replace it
check your intake manifold gasket.

I have a 2000 Pontiac and my was doing the same thing. It turned out to be my heads were warped. You can smell it coming out of your tail pipe if it is your heads.

Intake manifold gasket leak? (Never heard of a heat sensor). Many possibilities.
The manifold if the metal tube that directs the gas from the gas valve to (2-10) orifices so each orifice receives the same amount of pressure. This manifold is factory made and should never be changed.
Check the fuse and the wiring.
Could be a hose, intake manifold or bad tank in the radiator. If the water pump is bad you will know it for sure!
There could be several things that will make your 2005 Grand Cherokee Limited overheat even if you just changed your radiator. There may be a head gasket blown.
