First, the Corolla does not have headlights that can be adjusted horizionally, left or right. Yeah, I don't know what Toyota was thinking, it would be so very simple to have that but it doesn't. In any year. But to adjust vertically, to point the up or down, there is a wheel type adjustment disc above the headlight. Mine is a metal, steel color and some years have a torx-head type and some have a hex nut on the adjustment 'wheel'. You need not loosen anything, just turn that disc until the lights are correct
