There should two bolts on the front of it and two bolts on the back. It will need a wrench to be taken out. I would sugget you make sure to disconnect the Evap solenoid as it sits behind the coil pack. I just felt it would be something easier to deal with while you are taking the coil pack off. It is a very simple process, just take your time and watch at what wires are taken off. I had to sit on top of the manifold while i was taking mine off, ( didnt want to rock the engine forward while replacing the spark plugs). Good luck
change front coil spring on 2000 Pontiac grand am
A 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix (with either the 3.1L or 3.8L V6 engine) has 3 coil packs. (Each coil serves 2 cylinders). Note however, the coils for the 3.1L and 3.8L are different.
Most commonly a bad plug or wire. If not that, then coil.
A malfunctioning coil pack can cause your 2001 Pontiac Grand Am to backfire. The more likely cause is a faulty fuel injector.
The coil pack on a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire is located behind the air intake hose. Just behind where the air intake hose connects to the top of the motor is where the coil pack is on this vehicle.
no im pretty sure it has coil packs

The car has coil packs and does not have a distributor.
