AnswerFirst of all it depends on one thing, the engine size your particular vehicle has. Usually your particular vehicle has a V6 engine so start off by either looking in your owners manual to see exactly how much engine oil to add to the engine. If you dont have an owners manual then you can always go to your local auto parts store and they would be able to tell you how much engine oil to add. Your vehicle should take anywhere between 5 to 6 quarts. To be sure you can always start off by adding 4 1/2 quarts of oil and start up the truck for about ten seconds and then turn it off and check the oil level. If it is lower than the full mark on the dipstick then add a little bit of oil at a time until the dipstick oil level reads full.

The I6 Engine takes 6.5 quarts including oil filter.
