Follow the larger hose from the compressor - maybe near the drier at the passenger side firewall hate to be the one to tell you it is on the compresser be sure to put a rag over the high side hose so you don't get the burns I got while changing cans of 134a blue cap can't miss it mine is a 1994 but I'd bet that's where it is on a 96 a black light works to see the leak finder more bad news if you can't find the leak look under the front of the car and if it's like mine you will see glowing green or whatever color leak fiinder all over the bottom of the compressor I just found it and as soon as it's daylight I will search for a line or something but I fear it is the compressor on mine good luck

is it hard to change the water pump on a 1992 Oldsmobile achieva. Yes, it is very hard to replace a water pump on an Achieva. When the pump died on my 1996 Achieva, the engine needed to be unbolted and removed to get to it. As I recall, it cost about $500. I have a 95 Olds Achieva 3.1 and the water pump was very easy to change. Mine is on the front passenger side of the engine. Very easy to get to, just be careful not to break any bolts off. lol

To bleed the cooling system on a 1996 Oldsmobile Achieva, first ensure the engine is cool. Remove the radiator cap and start the engine, allowing it to reach operating temperature. As the thermostat opens, air bubbles will escape; keep an eye on the coolant level and add more if necessary. Once the bubbles cease and the coolant is at the proper level, replace the radiator cap securely.
