open the passengers door and look at the side of the dash board that closes against the door you will see a litte door that says fuses on it.
connect it to the memory wire to the radio.

Turn on the radio and start pulling fuses. When the radio stops working, that is the fuse. Try the cigarette lighter fuse first.

Yes, but the fuse may also control something else such as the radio or cigarette lighter.
If you do not see a fuse marked lighter, it may be protected by the fuse for the radio.

Radio fuse or it may be a combination fuse controlling more than the radio. It can be listed as accessory, lighter, etc. The radio may also have an inline fuse not located in the fuse panel.
My owner's manual for my 1988 Grand Wagoneer has a diagram that shows the cigareete lighter fuse to be a 10 amp fuse located 1 tier up from the bottom of the fuse box on the left hand corner. It is apparently the same fuse as for the radio.
