the most probable cause is, there is air in system, bleed brakes
all cars with abs breaks do this!! but if you feel it in the pedal then you have bad front rotors!!

Brakes are bled to remove air bubbles from the brake pipes. Air bubbles in the pipes will make the brakes feel spongy and less efficient.
Your brakes would feel 'spongy' - in that, it takes more pressure on the pedal than usual for them to operate fully (if at all !)
Spongy or soft brake pedal usually means there is air trapped in the system. Bleed the brakes starting at the RR then LR > RF and ending at the LF.
Sclerosed vein feel like a cord and you can feel the same along the tract, subcutaneously.
Reduced stopping power. Increased stopping distance. Noise when applying the brakes. A spongy feel to the brakes. The need to pump up the brakes in order to stop. Any or all of these can be an indicator. If in doubt, take the car to a pro brake shop. No sense playing around with your safety.
you must have air in the system try bleeding all the brakes
Sounds like you need brakes. Have it looked at soon! Or maybe the fact its a Chevy that might be the problem
feals spongy
Locate the brake fluid reservoir under the hood on the driver's side. It has two caps. Unscrew each cap and fill to the marked line. Replace caps. Pump brakes. If they feel spongy, you may have air in the line and need to bleed the brakes.
If your brakes feel like they are pulling you should get them checked out. These brakes may need to be replaced.
