yes, they should be identical.
if it's on the sterring column you have to remove the steering wheel with a puller. Remove the turn signal plate and there is a pin or bolt holding the lock cyl that has to be pushed or removed. There is another tool required to compress the spring when reinstalling the sterring wheel. most auto parts have the cylinders and tools.

you dont HAVE to remove it but it does make it easier. removing the column it not very difficult.
