Your 84 fiero dies and has no power what so ever it gets it back when it cools what could be the problem?
If Its the 4 Cylinder 2.5 engine I know what it is...on the 2.5 there is a module located beneath the distributor cap...I believe it is call an ignition control module... theses modules over time will slowly wear out and when the engine is being run hot ( interstate driving for example) it will affect your spark timing which in turn will cause lack of power and the occasional backfire.
