The George Washington myth was a story that Parson Locke Weems made up portraying how honest George Washington was. The story involved George chopping down his father's cherry tree as a young boy, his father asks him if he chopped the cherry tree down and George tells him that he "cannot tell a lie."

A 'fit of Gout in the head' caused his death. George Washington [his son] died of a throat infection. Lawrence Washington [George's brother] died when George was young. It was George Washington's brother, John Augustine "Jack", who died of "gout in the head", not his father.
George Washington did not attend a formal elementary school. He actually had very little formal school. He did attend the College of William and Mary to learn to be a surveyor as a young man.
There has been no direct evidence presented to show that George Washington had a black son, or any children at all. There has been talk that he did have a son with a young black slave who was called Venus. But no evidence has been presented to confirm that.
