As people began to move west they wanted the Native American lands, so the act made it official that the tribes were to be removed. From the very moment of the first colony the European settlers did their best to kill, remove, or displace the Native tribes from their lands. The government made treaties they broke and they forcibly removed people to reservations. The Union army would go into a sleeping village early in the morning and kill men, women, and children. The government policy was a " good Indian was a dead one" and they would do anything to accomplish this task. Read Black Elk Speaks or Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee for further understanding of the genocide that was committed.
Very simple they wanted the land. Since the colonies the Europeans took Native American ancestral lands for their own. They killed, discriminated against, gave diseases, and practiced environmental terrorism by importing plants, animals, and insects not native to North America. The European honey bee did more damage than anything else.
becuz the king wanted the soldiers to protect the colonists from any attacks from the native americans
The federal government wanted the Native Americans to become farmers.
the European settlers treated the native Americans like slaves. they invaded their space, set up gold mines and didnt show any respect for them or their beliefs at all. lots of native Americans were killed by the settlers, and there were many wars over control of the land. i hope this helps :)
the colonists wanted to help defend themselves against spain
Because they wanted power and to have the country by themselves.
They treated them like crap, and didn't give a care for them. The Europeans just wanted land. No offense to Europeans! :D
Native Americans were smarter than Africans. The Native Americans would have wanted to work for wages, food, shelter, and other needs. Where Africans would only ask for freedom to beleive in what ever religon that they wanted to beleive in.
The Europeans wanted to own and develop the land, whereas the Native Americans believe the land was for everyone, not for one individual to own.
They treated the native Americans very badly and they took their kids away because they wanted to convert them to Christianity.
the native americans wanted their guns
because the native Americans wanted to
The Native Americans might have been offended by the term "New World" because they natives have been there first. The Europeans didn't care who lived there they just wanted new land
I am not sure what you are asking. Native American tribes were all throughout North America. When the Europeans arrived millions of Native Americans were living in North America.
Pontiac wanted to join forces with the Native Americans because Pontiac saw the British as a threat and wanted to fight the British with the Native Americans.
The native Americans didn't live in England
The government's policy of assimilation of the Native Americans was a failure because the government wanted to eliminate them. The government wanted the Native Americans to remain powerless.
