They were all white men. That was the only way to get there. That, to me, was the one glaring similarity between all of them. Only 12 owned slaves, only 3 were really, really wealthy, and 8 of them weren't from the colonies. Not all of them were lawyers or doctors, and not all of them were born into money...some were self taught, some not. At first glance they don't seem to be that diverse /because/ they were all white men, but in reality they were quite different.

No - only a minimum age.According to Article II, Clause 5 of the US Constitution:No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time ofthe Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shallany person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirtyfive Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.Practical considerations limit the maximum age since the human body wears out to such a degree and campaigning is so grueling that it is unlikely that anyone would be running for president when they were in their 90's.The two major candidates in the 2016 Presidential election were 70 (Trump) and 69 (Clinton). When he takes office, Trump will be the oldest person to be elected to a FIRST term as President of the USA (at 70 years, 220 days)Ronald Reagan was 69 years, 349 days when he first took office. He was 73 when he ran for (and won) his second term as President and served until he was 77 years, 349 days old.Had she been elected, Hilary Clinton would have been the second oldest President-elect, behind Reagan.
