As the number of public schools in the South began to grow, access to education increased, leading to improved literacy rates and educational attainment among the population. However, this expansion often reflected the deep-seated racial and economic inequalities of the time, resulting in significant disparities in funding and resources between schools serving white students and those serving Black students. These inequities fueled ongoing social tensions and laid the groundwork for the Civil Rights Movement, as advocates fought for equal educational opportunities. Overall, the growth of public schools in the South was a complex development that both reflected and shaped broader societal changes.

Propagandists who knew that by creating a public school system the average intelligence could be diminished to the point is today. Do you believe in democracy? You do so because you were taught to. Never mind that the United States is a republican form of government that places strict controls on a democracy this is not what you will learn in public education. Do you believe all capitalists are baron robbers and all communists either martyrs for the cause of the people or unbelievably smart people who know much better than we do what society needs? You learned this in a public school system. Did you learn how to file an income tax return while in school? If you did, you were taught to do this by a person who relies heavily on taxation in order to survive. When you were taught to file this tax return was it ever discussed how it is you became liable for the tax to begin with? All of us need to better educate ourself and this process is continual. The public school system became a convenient form of baby sitting for parents who had and still have to toady, work in order to provide for their family. More and more parents today are turning to homeschooling because of the horrible conditions of public schools today. Who decided you should go to school? Don't worry about it. When will you decide to get a decent education?
To begin it. Here's an easy way to remember that: "pre" means "before".
