Original Post: This is common history, It was just Europeans declaring independence from other Europeans on foreign soil. which is now called "The United Stolen States of America" but everyone knows that the whole country belongs to the native Indians and to the Mexicans. After all you can't cover history with one finger.
Edited: To fully answer the question, the United States declared independence from Britain. To address the biases of the OP. Most of the Native Americans had no reason to believe in property, they lived in fairly small communities in which everyone was willing to share, and did so so that everyone could survive, which incidently makes the land difficult to steal since the natives believed no one could own it in the first place. However, much of the American soil was acquired under rather dubious circumstances, nevertheless modern day Americans are not to blame for the sins of their fathers.
The Declaration of Indpendence is widely available online. It is not a long document. Read it.
