President Jefferson wanted Lewis and Clark to treat Native Americans fairly during their expedition to foster peaceful relations and facilitate trade. He believed that respectful interactions could help secure American interests in the newly acquired territories and promote the nation's expansionist goals. By establishing goodwill, Jefferson aimed to mitigate potential conflicts and encourage cooperation between settlers and Native tribes in the West. This approach was also rooted in a broader vision of American democracy and the ideal of coexistence.
Many would indeed agree that the president is fairly compensated. He makes approximately $400,000 annually for serving the country and adhering to his presidential duties.
No, not specifically a white house. The official residence of the President is the Olivos Residence, a fairly large estate located in the neighbourhood called Olivos, just north of Buenos Aires. As for the government headquarters, just as the US has the White House, Argentina has a "Pink House". Yes, it's actually pink. Supposedly this color is due to it being painted long ago with paint colored with bulls' blood, a fairly common technique at the time. Gory indeed...
Washington led the country fairly and with an even hand. He also restricted his presidency to two terms to keep from becoming a lifetime ruler like a monarch.
None, but Eugene V Debs ran in 1920 as the Socialist candidate for President, while serving a prison term for opposing the Draft in WW1.
The study of Political Science is actually a fairly new endeavor President Woodrow Wilson was the first person to have a degree in Political Science. It origins, are a derivative of Sociology and what we now understand to be Criminal Justice.

Before his presidency, Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Jefferson was a fairly successful lawyer in the Virginia area. He was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress. He was the second Governor of Virginia after independence. He served as US Ambassador to France (1785-89). He was the first US Secretary of State (1790-1793). He served as the second Vice-President of the United States (1797-1801). Then he became the third President of the United States.

No. It's fairly level for the whole journey.
Fairly well for the most part. He was an intellectual and avid reader. When Adams roomed with him in France he complained to his wife about Jefferson and the stacks of books all piled in their rooms. Their friendship really cooled off when they ran against each other for president. The election got very nasty and for years after they didn't talk to each other. I think both men could be really stubborn and Jefferson was a little less OCD than Adams.

Thomas Jefferson died fifty years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. He died on the same day as John Adams, the second president of the United States of America. They were originally friends but became all but bitter political advesaries; they lived fairly close to each other; it's said that when one died, the other learned about it and more or less decided that he could die, also. Thomas Jefferson was fundamentally responsible for the facts in Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. (1 Cranch) 137 (1803); the case all but created the power of the federal judiciary.
most black Americans will be proud and will think that the states treat people fairly to asians, black and white people.
