while i was driving my car shuts off at nite while the lights are on, and i got it started back up and shuts off and comes back on ******************************************************** If you have a bad alternator it can cause starting problems. More likely because you were driving and not charging the battery, while draining it. The alternator re-charges while you drive. When you turned it off & came back the next day there was not enough juice.

something is draining the battery. a new battery will last a couple days if just starting the car. even if your alternator is bad.
Check the alternator. If the alternator is not generating enough electrical energy to run the car AND recharge the battery you'll always have a low battery. If that's not it try to find something that is being left on that's draining the battery.

Had the same problem. Bought a re-conditioned alternator, turned out it was bad. Usually if battery draining, it's alternator or battery or both.
You need to replace the tap system to make soft water system to stop running when its not supposed to because it seems that it is draining constantly will not stop.

start off by checking all door switches. Then check the interior switch on the dashboard. I mean by checking as in bypassing switch or disconntection of the switch. If you have the theater dimmer or the delay dimmers you would check that also.. Thanx Dom
Something is on draining your battery overnight. Any light or any relay. It can also be your battery has a dead cell draining it overnight.
Is the battery being charged by the alternator? You should see 13 volts or higher while the engine is running, otherwise you will need to test the alternator. another answer: the alarm system. get it disconnected by a mechanic--mine was constantly draining the battery on my 95 pathfinder.
many things can do it suck as junk battery, junk alternator , or leaving anything on in the car
Defective alternator, loose alternator drive belt, dead cell in battery, or something is on pulling power from the battery.
There are a few things that could cause this problem. It could be the wiring to the alternator, the alternator solenoid, or the wiring.?æ
Have you had the alternator checked? If an alternator is not working it can acually drain your batt. big time fast.
