37 divided by 9 is approx. 4.11111111 etc., so multiply 4 by 9 and you get 36, which means that if Wendy were to share pencils with 9 people, each person would get four pencils, and she would have one pencil left over for herself.
yes, that could be considered a sculpture. :)
Short answer: No. Long answer: Some forms of pencil will become obsolete, such as the #2 HB that has to be sharpened. People will just switch to #2 HB leads in mechanical pencils.
Yes eating pencils is bad for you. Do you eat them? ;-) Modern pencils are made of wood and carbon rod, and as such are not harmful they are made keeping in mind that a lot of people chew on the end of their pencils while they are using them. The old fashioned lead pencils on the other hand were harmful if they were eaten but they are not normally available any more.
It is a common misconception that pencils contain the element lead, probably brought about by the middle part of a pencil being called lead. In fact no pencils contain lead instead using carbon based materials (or in the case of coloured pencils, a type of coloured clay). Coloured pencils have been around since the 1920s. They were originally created from colours and pigments suspended in a waxy base with natural binding agents and often fillers. Lead was not an ingredient in coloured pencils at that time. As the industry has advanced, manufacturers have become more aware of ingredients that can be harmful to people and have reduced the use of toxins in their products. Therefore it is even less likely for there to be lead in modern coloured pencils.
During the 1800s, the best graphite in the world came from China. American pencil makers wanted a special way to tell people that their pencils contained Chinese graphite. In China, the color yellow is associated with royalty and respect. American pencil manufacturers began painting their pencils bright yellow to communicate this "regal" feeling and association with China. Now, that is just the way pencils are made, pencil manufactures stick to using the color yellow for the pencil.

Both supply and demand must be changing, and not necessarily in the same direction. The fact that the quantity of something is changing tells you that the supply has changed. The fact that the value of something is changing in the same direction as its changing supply tells you that the demand must also be changing. For instance; Imagine that you have 1000 pencils to sell to 1000 people for $10 per pencil (everone needs one and only one, so they will pay). If you lost half of your pencils, the supply has decreased and now stands at 500 pencils. The only way for the price of the pencils ($10 dollars each) to decrease (as did the supply/quantity), is for the number of people who want pencils (demand) to also decrease to less than 500 people. If the demand didn't change, the value of the pencils would have to rise (the opposite of what the supply did), since there would be more people who want pencils, than there are pencils to sell them.
The people who make Crayola brand pencils should be able to tell you
The number of pencils people use in a day varies widely depending on individual habits and activities. Students might use several pencils for writing and drawing, while professionals may use just one or none at all. On average, a person might use one or two pencils daily, but this can fluctuate based on the context, such as during exams or creative projects. Overall, there isn't a definitive average, as usage is highly personal and situational.
Probably the same people who make the pencils.
People around the world don't put lead in lead pencils or any pencils! They put something called graphite. They use graphite because lead is poisonous. If a peice of lead touched you, you would have poison in you. Then eventually you would die. So that is what people put in lead.
No, a pack of pencils would not be considered a collective noun. A collective noun is a word used to represent a group of people, animals, or things as a singular entity, such as "herd" for cows or "team" for players.

No currently they are not made of led.
They put them in a machine and it comes out presharpened. But some people use little pencil sharpeners to presharpen there pencils or colored pencils with eraser. Or they just buy them at a store. Like Happy Harrys, WAL MART, STAPLES,Office Max, Office Depot or at SHOP RITE. But some people don't want to use regular preharpened pencils they rather use mechanical pencils. But You can't find #3 or #1 pencils in any store because they were made 20 years ago and the erasers don't erase very well because they leave dark pencils shavings that can't be erased very well.
