i know they are hard to isatallthere are no spark plug in this car. Tjere called bolt-head plugs which each take 1 hour to isntal abd they must take takr the anterlator off and i remommend to take to a shhop because it will take about 4 to install them beceause the enhine must cone out and take to s ashop
Are you serious? Alright then... buy all the plugs and its a good idea to change the wires and rotor/cap at the same time, if so equipped. pull one wire off at a time and get the proper spark plug socket and extensions. Remove any dirt around spark plug holes if possible. Loosen them in an anti clockwise direction . after they are snug, tighten the plug 1/4 turn more. then change the wire that goes to the distributor cap. If you decide to unhook all the wires and plugs and go from there you will mess up the firing order of the engine for sure, no two cars are the same, unless it is the same make model and year or engine.. i have done it many a time and i am a seasoned mechanic. Too many beers or just being tired can foul things up ..
I am going to assume that You have the 3.5L Intrigue engine. If not, ignore this.
Remove the plastic coil cover from the middle of each valve cover. Remove the coils. Unscrew and remove the spark plugs. Installation is the reverse....
I was drunk when I wrote that. If you have wires, you have three coils and not six and you've actually got wires. To remove one end of a wire, first twist, then pull. If it won't twist, use spray silicone lubricant.
You may have a large plastic beauty cover over the top of your engine. If it's in the way, remove the four nuts and the cover.
Under the hood of the 1995 Toyota Avalon, along each side of the engine block are the spark plugs. Make sure the engine is cool before starting. Remove the wires covering the spark plugs, which lead from the distributor cap. Use a socket wrench to remove the spark plugs. Take out the new spark plugs from each of the six boxes, use the gap tool to set the gap at .034 and screw the new plugs in. Use the socket wrench to tighten the spark plugs and put the wires back in place.
I assume you are talking about the ignition cylinder( what you put the key in).
1. Remove the lower, plastic panel from the steering column
2. Locate a small hole that is in line with the key cylinder on the bottom of the aluminum shell that surrounds the column
3. Using the biggest drill bit that will fit, drill into the hole to ream out the locking dowel pin that keeps the cylinder from sliding out.
4. Remove the drill and pull out the cylinder
5. Install new cylinder and spin until it locks
This process should take about 30 minutes
Its tough huh? Try a swivel and longer extension?? I hate to think you might have to pull the motor mount and jack up that side of the motor. Have a friend with looonnnggg arms??
Look for black square things that look like they would be covering the sparkplugs. Those are coil packs, just remove them and the plugs are under them.
pull the plug wires. turn the spark plug counter-clockwise, replace with new plug. replace wire
To change the spark plugs in a 1997 astro van do I have to change the spark plugs from the bottom of the engine/
Changing spark plugs is relatively easy. Disconnect the batter and spark plug cables, and remove the old spark plugs. Next replace the spark plugs with new ones, reconnect the spark plug cables and battery.
The same way you gap spark plugs for any car that uses spark plugs.
The 2000 Toyota Avalon spark plugs can be located on each side of the engine. The spark plugs will be near the bottom of the engine. There are three spark plugs on each side.
Obviously- the spark plugs were not the issue :)
how do change the spark plugs and the coil pack on a 2000 Oldsmobile intrigue
where would the spark plugs at on a Oldsmobile 1989 engine
no gas entering piston chambers or no spark in the spark plugs. I assume the starter is spinning the engine?
The 2002 General Motors/Oldsmobile Intrigue came standard equipment with the 3.5L V6. This vehicle is a front wheel drive application with a transverse mounted engine. The sparks plugs are in the cylinder heads, with plugs facing the front and the other three facing the firewall. The OEM AC Delco Professional Iridium spark plugs are part #41993.
I recommend you use AC/Delco. They are excellent plugs and are OEM. Any auto parts store can tell you which A/C Delco plugs to install.
Yes, all gasoline engines have spark plugs.
they are under the coil packs which are in the top of the valve cover, unplug the coil packs, take out six bolts, the wires should come out with the coil packs and you will have access to the plugs.
this happened to my 98 intrigue, i replaced the spark plugs and hasn't happened yet...worse case scenario you might have to replace the spark plug wires as well but I've only replaced the plugs and its fine.
don't have my manuel how many spark plugs are there in a 1997 cutlass supreme oldsmobile. need to change them all v6 engine. what is the best brand to buy thank you
beneath a plate that's bolted on,first thing you see when standing in front of car looking at engine
