I have a problem with a Ford Focus once that left us stranded in the supermarket parking lot. It would turn over but would start. Come to find out the key we were using (had the chip in it) went bad somehow. We got the other key from home and it started fine. Does this vehicle have a antitheft deterent system in it? Try this and maybe contacting the service center at the local Chevy dealership for advice. Maybe you anti theft system is malfuncting. I hope this helps you. Worth a shot. not enuff information in your question to diagnose anything about why your engine will not start

∙ 15y agoI had the same problem twice----first time it was the fuel pump----$700, second and just this past week, it was the ignition control lockout switch---only $350 to fix that!!! Too many problems with this car.

∙ 15y agoYou need to explain exactly what is happening. Does the starter turn the engine over and it will not run? Does it start and die? Without further information it would be impossible to help you.

∙ 13y agoUh, yes. An 8 year old vehicle has parts on it that will fail and need to be replaced. Many auto-part stores will check a battery for free. If it's not the battery, then the Chilton Manual has a troubleshooting section that provides step-by-step procedure for finding possible failed parts and how to replace them, good luck!

∙ 9y agoAnswering this question would require us to know the symptoms, as there are a number of reasons that could be listed without anything to narrow it down. Loose ground, loose hot wire, bad battery, bad starter, poor air flow, lack of spark, lack of compression, ECM issue, misadjusted timing... all of these things are possile.
