Every time you start your car the alarm comes on and wont start?

That's because you need to disarm the car alarm if you dont have the remote. To do this on the driver side there should be a fuse box. Open it, look for a little black button. Press it 5 times not too fast or to slow. After you've done this, you should hear the alarm beep twice and the little red security light should be steady instead of blinking. This works believe me!

∙ 16y agoFind out what alarm system you have installed there and learn how it is supposed to operate. I had a similar problem on a vehicle in which my son had installed an alarm system and no telling what else. I push a button on the hand transmitter and starter would engage but engine not fire up. (with ign key turn ) I Push another button and it will crank up.(with ign key turn.) He is off to college and I am stuck with trying to sell the 84 Chevy Celebrity. Yea - who would want it Try resetting the sesitivity on the alarm. It might to sensitive that
its set off itself which cause car not to start

∙ 12y agoyour starter may be bad if the lights and windows operate normally then its not ur battery. also aftermarket alarms have a starter kill so if one is present on ur car thay may also be preventing a start

∙ 9y agoThe alarm will have to be fixed or removed to allow the Maxima to start. If you have the correct key, try to lock then unlock the drivers door with the key. If the system works then this should reset it.

∙ 12y agoThis happened to me. My keyless remote won't work so I'm having to use key If not done right, can cause your car not to disarm your security system. You have to hold you key to the unlock position for a couple seconds.

Try disconnecting the battery for at least 10 minutes and then reconnect and try. Check the starter, it don't all the time go right out it will crank but not turn the engine over when it start to go bad, then you you will hear the clicking latter on.

Dude, sounds like overkill. There is a button under the dash that you depress and you'll be able to start car. If its OEM equip there's a way to disable alarm and still use remote key. to find button (run left hand down the outer edge of dash where padded dash meets hard plastic - then slide to the right and feel or look around . It may be black and hard to find - its small)== == == == I also have a 1998 subaru legacy outback with the factory alarm system. The alarm was stuck on. The remote buttons seemed to stop the alarm while the button was depressed but it would continue after the button was released. I was not able to turn the alarm off or start the engine. I tried disconnecting the battery cable, and when it was reconnected , the alarm picked up where it left off. The whole time the alarm sounded muffled and not as loud as normal. We used a jumper battery pack. The alarm got louder when that was connected, and i was able to turn it off with the remote at that point. I bought a new battery and that seemed to fix the problem until today. (about 1 week later) The alarm went off as soon as i shut the car off. The remote button would not shut it off. This time however i WAS able to start the car with the key. I drove it home and when i shut it off that time, the alarm did not sound. Not exactly sure what the problem is. I was parked on a slight hill. Dont think i accidentaly hit the panic button or anything. I'll replace the remote battery tonite, maybe that has something to do with it.

Some alarm systems can reactivate themselves after certain period of time. You can use remote every time before starting your car. Or you can remove the alarm block which should be under the driver's chair or some where under dash panel. If your alarm has a kill switch (does not seem like) after removing the alarm block you will not be able to start your car at all.
