My wife and I purchased a Sebring (1998) that had the same problem. We were told it is the chip in the key. The key needs to be replaced.
has the engine run since new timing belt put on? if not whoever did the work, didnt get the timing right.
The 1991 Blazer has a current draw causing the wire to burn. You will need to trace the wiring out to find what is drawing too much current.
An ignition module problem could be the cause of your 89 Geo Spectrum not starting and not getting any fire. It could also be the pickup coil causing the problem.
Check the ignition coil on the Cheyenne. If it is ok, check the timing. The timing chain could have slipped or broken causing the engine to not start.
yes, it happened to me, what it was, the solenoid of the starter motor got stucked at the closed position causing it to continue working even doe the ingnition key was removed. yes, it happened to me, what it was, the solenoid of the starter motor got stucked at the closed position causing it to continue working even doe the ingnition key was removed.

Using a multimeter and spark tester will help find the source of a voltage problem on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring. Having a repair manual on hand will troubleshoot the system, but many electrical problems require tedious sifting through wiring to find the faulty short or ground which is causing an issue.
There could be a few reasons why a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron will crank but not start. The fuel pump could be out or the car could be out of gas. There may be a malfunction in the ignition system causing no spark.
If it is an aftermarket stereo then i would say that the installer tied into the dashboard illumination or headlight power wire for 12 volt power for the stereo.
could be plugged fuel filter Plugged fuel filter is a good possibility but if that's not it here's another. I recently had a similar problem (97 sebring convertable) where it my car would stutter while driving, ended up needing new plug wires as two of the old ones were failing intermittantly, causing incosistent firing of the plugs.
Check for a blown fuse.
The rheostat in the light stalk is dirty and getting a bad connection causing the dash lights to flicker dim to bright and so on. Try turning the reading and dash lights on and off several times moving the rotary switch from all the way off to all the way on abd back several times. This sometimes will clear the problem for a period. If not, the light stalk will require replacement.
1989 Chrysler Lebaron 2.5 engine and you get a lot of oil in your air cleaner compartment what is causing this
The car will initially start with a non-programmed key but will not run more than a few seconds. The non-programmed key unlocks the doors and the trunk but cannot be used to run the engine. It is apparently an anti-theft feature.
copper will not 'spark' causing ignition of the powder. Steel can produce a 'spark' causing the powder to ignite................
If you are looking for the module that commonly fails, causing one side or the other to flash rapidly, you will find it on the driver's side of the trunk, behind the tail light , on the left side of the body. It is approximately 1 inch thick, 2 inches wide, by 3 inches long and has 7 terminals.
There is a short somewhere in the ignition system causing the fuse to burn out. Start by replacing the ignition switch to see if that helps.
