Eoin Colfer said that he was going to write one last book in the Artemis Fowl series. this will be the eighth and the last book in the series. there is no title yet but it will probably be out sometime in 2012. or so I hope.
Sadly, Eoin Colfer has only said there will be an Artemis Fowl 7, and unless he has already written it and it is waiting to be published, it is not going to come out for some time because he is working on the last book in the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, 'And Another Thing'. However, according to a questioning session, it should come out two years after 'The Time Paradox', which is somewhere in 2010. Apparently, it will reveal a link between Holly and Artemis' birth.
Sorry to ruin it if you haven't read the book yet, but it is about Artemis getting a disease that only fairies get most likely from when he stole magic from Holly.
Eoin Colfer had stated that The Time Paradox may not be the last book, but will be the last for at least two years as of the publication of book VII. This has been confirmed by the announcement of Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Complex. At a questioning session, after a Fairies, Fiends and Flatulence session in Worcester, he revealed that the next book would explain about a link between Holly and Artemis' birth. He has also let slip that he plans to have Artemis end up in fairy prison with Opal Koboi (of the present).
On December 25, 2009 Amazon said that the 7th Artemis Fowl book, The Atlantis Complex, should come out on July 20th , 2010 but that may change.
Book seven comes out in summer 2010. If you haven't read two through six they are:
Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident
Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code
Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony
Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception
Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony
Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox.
Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Complex
There's also The Artemis Fowl Files and the first two books' graphic novels are out.
There will be a book 8, because there are way to many lose ends to tie up. Artemis still has the Atlantis Complex, and the Opal K. from the past is still on the loose. There is no set date for this book to come out.
As of now, there isn't an eighth book, but considering the popularity of the series, there is bound to be one. Eoin Colfer mentioned that if there was an eighth book, unfortunately it would be the last in the series. (this is the part where you sob dramatically.)
The 8th book is yet to come, just as the seventh book came out. With Colfer working on Plugged, AF movie, and possibly the Airman movie, it is fair to say the 8th book may come out in 1 year (late summer 2012), or maybe even 2 years. Usually graphic novels and companion books take up the space, like Fowl Files in the gap between Eternity Code and Opal Deception, first graphic novel between Lost Colony and Time Paradox, and 2nd Graphic Novel between Time Paradox and Atlantis Complex. The final book is planned to be called The Last Guardian.
Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian was released on 10 July 2012.
The first edition was published in April 2001
Yes, the 7th day of Thargelion, festival of Thargelia, is celebrated as the birthday of the goddess Artemis. It celebrated her as a forest and moon goddess.
Since Artemis was a mythological goddess, she was never 'born', she was only worshiped as a deity. However, according to mythology, Artemis was born on the island of Delos. She was born before her twin brother Apollo and was her mother's (Leto) midwife.
That is Sage Francis, Brandon Buchanan's soon to be ex girlfriend, in the 7th book "infamous" they break up right in the first chapter.
Model of Temple of Artemis, Miniaturk Park, Istanbul, TurkeyThe Temple of Artemis (Greek: Ἀρτεμίσιον Artemision), also known less precisely as Temple of Diana, was a Greek temple dedicated to Artemis completed- in its most famous phase- around 550 BC at Ephesus (in present-day Turkey). Though the monument was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, only foundations and sculptural fragments of the temple remain. There were previous temples on its site, where evidence of a sanctuary dates as early as the Bronze Age. The whole temple was made of marble except for the roof. The new temple antedated the Ionic immigration by many years. Callimachus, in his Hymn to Artemis, attributed the origin of the temenos at Ephesus to the Amazons, whose worship he imagines already centered upon an image. In the seventh century the old temple was destroyed by a flood. The construction of the "new" temple, which was to become known as one of the wonders of the ancient world, began around 550 BC. It was a 120-year project, initially designed and built by the Cretan architect Chersiphron and his son Metagenes, at the expense of Croesus of Lydia. It was described by Antipater of Sidon, who compiled the list of the Seven Wonders:I have set eyes on the wall of lofty Babylon on which is a road for chariots, and the statue of Zeus by the Alpheus, and the hanging gardens, and the colossus of the Sun, and the huge labour of the high pyramids, and the vast tomb of Mausolus; but when I saw the house of Artemis that mounted to the clouds, those other marvels lost their brilliancy, and I said, "Lo, apart from Olympus, the Sun never looked on aught so grand".[1
ON 7th SEPT
Yes, there is a 7th Artemis Fowl book. It's called "Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Complex" and came out on August 3, 2010 in the US, July 20 in the UK.
Artemis Fowl book 7 has not come out yet and it is not yet certain if there will be an Artemis Fowl book 7. There is no Artemis Fowl book 8 coming out yet as of now and the chance of it coming out is not known. The latest Artemis Fowl book to come out is the Time Paradox (book 6) as of June 2009.No, im pretty sure there is a 7th book but i have slight doubts that there will be an 8th.__________________________________________________________________Actually, the 7th book, The Atlantis Complex has been released, which Eoin Colfer said would be the 'penultimate book', meaning the series will finish with an eighth book, most likely continuing the Opal-Artemis feud. the release date is as yet unknown. A movie is also in the making by WMG.:)It is certain that there will be a book 8 in the series and sadly it is the last book.Eoin Colfer is ethier planning or waiting for it to be published, there is no official release date yet.I LOVE the series
No.
Yes there is. It is called the Atlantis Complex. It came out sometime in August.
Yes it comes out in Summer 2010. No certain date as of yet.
It is rumoured (wikipedia trust if you like but can't be certain) that the book will be named Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Comlex. It seems to fit as Artemis might end up in the prison in Atlantis with none other than the evil pixie lunatic: Opal Koboi.
I emailed Eoin Colfer not long ago and asked if I were allowed to write a few chapters in the 7th book of Artemis Fowl and I have many excellent ideas but I would like some ideas from fans, if you have any exciting ideas please email me at alisonrocker26@hotmail.com. thank you!
The 7th book has been released in the U.K./Germany and comes out August 3 in the U.S. However, the 8th book is already being planned. It's expected to be the last book of the series.
most likely, because at the end of time parodox opal got away so she will most likely be the villain if eon colfer writes a 7th book
In Colfer's video blogs, he mentions the book, saying it may not be the last, but the last one for at least 3 years. There are two books after "The Time Paradox." The 7th book, "The Atlantis Complex" was released in the summer of 2010. Eoin Colfer stated in an interview that he was going to write an additional book after it and then the series would be over.
JUly 13, 2009 According to Wikipedia.org, which it says is on Amazon.com
Officially it's not released in the UK and Ireland til the 7th of August. But most people are obtaining copies about now mainly through preordering online
