Harry Beck chose a simple and intuitive color scheme for his London Underground map to enhance clarity and readability. He used a limited palette of colors, assigning each line a distinct hue, which helped passengers easily identify routes and navigate the system. The bright, contrasting colors also made the map visually appealing while maintaining a functional design. This approach was revolutionary at the time, as it prioritized user experience over geographical accuracy.

What is Harry Fenn famous for?

He is an artist. Answer 2: Or, more correct, he was an artist.

If you had to choose between a Harry Winston or a Graff for a diamond eternity band which is better and why?

You're comparing the top end of the spectrum when it comes to the highest grade jewelry available in America. If I were shopping, I'd consult with both and after exploring the inventory of each, chose the band that looked best on my finger. Both offer remarkable stones and craftsmanship in their jewelry, documentation and provenance, so that in future, your chances of capitalizing on either investment are high.

Why did hundertwasser and herta Leitner divorce?

Harry Rand is asking Hundertwasser the same question for his book "Hundertwasser". Hundertwasser argues that he did not feel comfortable with the marriage even before the wedding had taken place. ;-) When he was 25 years old he got to know a 16 year old austrian-italian girl named Herta Leitner. Even though he liked the girl he was not very happy when she begged him to marry her. He said: Ok when we reach Gibraltar we'll marry, and then tried to delay their journey. Finally they reached Gibraltar and the girl blackmailed Hundertwasser by threatening him with committing suicide in case he wouldn't become her husband. Hundertwasser was not willing to take that risk and so they became a couple. The joint time, however, must have been a horror trip due to Hundertwasser, as Herta was deeply influenced by her Nazi-parents. So she came up with lots of stupid prejudices against jews (as Hundertwasser was one) for example she bought onions instead of fruits as a snack, because she heard that jews always eat onions as a snack. It is not very suprising that Hundertwasser wanted to unwind the relation as soon as possible. For the sake of truth it is fair to say that this is only Hundertwassers point of view, maybe she wasn't as impossible as he states.
