First, make sure it isn't a window switch. many people have bought expensive replacement motors, when the problem was only the switch in one of the doors. If one switch is bad, the other one will not work & the window will not move. If it is the motor, then is is strongly advised to buy the motor with the regulator attached to it. The doors on these trucks are a PAIN to work with. Take off the plastic door panel, unbolt the inner steel door panel, be careful & release the linkages, while tilting the steel inner panel to unhook the regulator from the window. this is NOT a fun job.

You will need to: disconnect battery, unscrew torx screws/ bolts around armrest, unplug power locks, windows etc. Carefully pop off plastic connectors located around door panel perimeter one at a time and be sure not to lose any.Unscrew remaing trim screws as necessary. Remove door panel. Remove vapor barrier. I wound remove the track assembly and motor as an assembly IF they are riveted together. If they are, I would replace the track and the motor by getting one at a salvage yard. The track assembly unbolts at about 3 or 4 places so have someone help you hold the window cause it will drop when you remove the last bolt. Reverse to install.

There are several online references that show pictures on how to do this. I have done it. Remove Door Trim Pannel first, there are several wires to disconnect and plastic pins to pull out of the door along with a few screws. Remove the clear plastic water shield covering the door.

Use Duct Tape over the top of the door to hold the window in the up position. Unplug the motor. Drill out the rivots that hold regulator assembly to the door. Slide the regulator wheels out of the upper and lower tracks. At the bench run a sheet metal screw through the gear to the one of the regulator arms to lock the arms in position. If you don't do this when you remove the motor the springs will cause the arms to move. Drill out the small rivets holding the motor to the regulator. Use Sheetmetal screws the fasten the new motor to the regulator. Don't use the little machine screws and nuts that come with the replacement motor. At least the ones I got were junk. Remove the sheet metal screw locking the gear to the arm. Put entire assembly back into the door and fasten the regulator back to the door using the heavy duty peal rivets if you have the tool otherwise you can use 1/4-20 bolts and lock nuts. One other trick I will mention is you may want to run the new motor down a little so it is not up all the way when you try to reinstall the regulator.

Have someone help you hold the window up an extra set of hands really helps out here. Good luck.
