Begin by removing the water supply hose from the top of your 1989 Ford F1 50 thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. Lift the old thermostat out and drop in the new thermostat.

The thermostat on a 1992 Ford F250 7.3 Diesel is changed by draining the radiator, removing the upper radiator hose, and unbolting the radiator housing. The thermostat can then be removed, a new gasket put in place, and the new thermostat installed.
