revolution = year

planets revolve around the sun, and rotate on an axis.

hence, shortest revolution is Mercury with 88hrs.
Someone already asked this question (many times), and the answer is Jupiter. That has a day equivalent to about 9.84 Earth hours.

By: 12year old.

Jupiter has the shortest "day" (period of rotation) of about 9h, 55m, 50s.

However, Mercury had the shortest "year" (revolutionaround the Sun) of about 87.97 Earth days.

Of the four inner planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars), the day on Earth is the shortest at 23.93 Earth hours, slightly less than Mars at 24.57 Earth hours.

The day on Venus is over 243 Earth days, and on Mercury it is almost 59 Earth days.

if you are talking about the shortest orbit, that would be Mercury which orbits the sun every 88 days.

if you are talking about the shortest day, it would be earth. A day on Mars is slightly longer then 1 Earth Day, on Mercury is almost 60 earth days, and on Venus is about 243 earth days

The shortest day in the entire solar system would be Jupiter, at 9.8 hours, though it is one of the outer planets.
