There are two ways to do this!

First, you can set the iPod back to factory settings, thus erasing all synced content and ressetting any changes you have made to the iPod itself. Hook up the little bugger and open iTunes if it doesn't do so automatically, then from the lefthand menue click on the tab that has the name of your iPod such as 'iPod Nano or Ryan's iPod or HOTMAKEOUTIPOD'; whatever it's name happens to be. This will open up the ipod menue and you should see a wee button that says 'Restore' on it. By clicking and confirming this, the iPod's drive is wiped of personal data and it goes back to the way it was when it was first pulled out of the box!

or, you can manually erase all the songs by going to the music tab under the name of your iPod in the iTunes menue, selecting the first song, then pressing SHIFT once you've reached the bottom. That will select all the songs in your library and then by left clicking and selecting delete, backspacing, returning, etc depending on whether you have a Mac or PC, all the songs will be removed from the library and, upon resycing, on the iPod, too.

These instructions work for all iPods, by the way. (: I hope all goes well in your quest to swipe those songs!

Which do you think is a better buy the iPod Classic 120GB or the iPod Nano 4G Chromatic?

The iPod classic is better. It has a much more space than the Nano, and a larger screen. It's also not much more expensive than the Nano. The nano is easier to carry around and more lightweight, but can only hold a fraction of the songs a Classic can. The nano is good if all you want are songs and a few movies. The Classic, on the other hand, is bigger and bulkier, but can hold plenty of songs and movies. The right choice depends on what you use your ipod for. For video player, the ipod classic is better. For music player, the ipod nano 4G is amazing. As the nano chromatic is amazing music player, you can also put video to nano chromatic with the guide.

How do you change computers for your ipod nano. I have a new mac book and i want to transfer all my itunes stuff to my mac. All of my songs are on my mac but when i plug in my ipod nothing happens?

You have to move all your music from your windows computer to your mac. When you plug in your iPod (with iTunes open) it should ask if you want to sync to this library instead of the other one. This will wipe everything on your iPod and replace it with whatever is in your iTunes library.

Deleting Songs from an iPod Nano?

You have to plug the iPod into your computer with the cord it came with and then go to iTunes. Next, double click on the iPod nano icon in the left sidebar and it should drop a list of things like 'Music' etc. Click on the 'Music' category and you should see all the songs that are on the iPod nano (at this stage if you can't click on the songs then you need to change the iPod to 'let the iPod be controlled manually' which if you click the iPod icon, should bring you to a list of options you can check for the iPod). On the song you do not want, control-click it and click 'delete'. It will not delete the song off the computer, but it will delete it off the iPod! Happy listening :)
