In "All Summer in a Day" by Ray Bradbury, the resolution occurs when the children, having locked Margot in a closet out of jealousy, finally let her out after the sun has set. Margot is devastated to find that the brief glimpse of the sun she had longed for is now gone, symbolizing her isolation and the cruelty of her peers. The story concludes with a poignant sense of loss as Margot's dreams and hopes for warmth and acceptance are overshadowed by the harsh reality of her situation on a planet where the sun shines only once every seven years.
